We are very particular about who we hire to represent Fairy Dustmothers Cleaning Services.

Every Fairy Dustmothers employee undergoes a rigorous screening process that includes extremely thorough criminal background checks. Additionally, all professional cleaners are fully insured and bonded.

Our employees are all given top-notch training to meet our demanding standards, and we regularly conduct quality inspection checks.

Trust is a vital component of our business. We pride ourselves on having earned the trust of our customers and do not intend to ever lose that trust!

What is the best way to contact Fairy Dustmothers?

We attempt to answer all phone calls and emails received between 8:15 a.m. and 4:45 p.m, immediately. If you leave a voicemail or send an email outside these hours, we will respond no later than 10:00 am the following business day. Please feel free to leave a note for our commercial cleaning or residential cleaning technicians at your time of service. You may include comments, needs, likes, dislikes, etc. We are here to serve you and your input is invaluable and appreciated. Will I have the same Fairy Dustmothers cleaner(s) each visit?

We make every effort to assure you have your regular cleaning technician each visit, as long as you are pleased with your cleaning service technician, but this is not a guarantee. Due to illness, vacations, promotions, etc. we may occasionally need to replace your cleaning technician.
We will always be respectful in your home. There is not any smoking, eating or drinking (other than water) allowed in your home or office, nor do our cleaning technicians watch TV or play the radio. They do not answer the phone or door. Our only purpose while in your home or business is to clean.  When you hire Fairy Dustmothers Commercial and Residential Cleaning Services, you are hiring local professionals that thoroughly enjoy cleaning and contributing to our local community.  We hope you enjoy working with us and your regular technician, but it is our goal, to ensure that you can’t tell the difference in the finished product, no matter who cleans your business or home.

Do you guarantee your cleaning services?

We have built our cleaning business on the back of our reputation, by providing our clients with the best possible cleaning service available, at affordable pricing. Still, we realize that occasionally, something might get missed. Should this happen, please phone our office or email us within 24 hours, and we will correct the issue within 24 hours.  Of course, at no additional charge to you.  Thank you for trusting Fairy Dustmothers with your commercial cleaning or residential cleaning needs.  We work every day to make certain that you know that you made the right decision in hiring us.

What supplies do I need to provide?

We provide our own green cleaning products including all necessary cleaning agents and microfiber towels. We pride ourselves in our state of the art cleaning practices. We use color coded microfiber processes eliminating the chance of cross contamination. Our cleaning agent is a citrus based, commercial green cleaning product that works great and leaves only a light citrus scent behind. If you have specific products you prefer, just coordinate with your Fairy Dustmothers Cleaning Services Account Manager or leave them out in plain view for your cleaning technician and we will gladly use them. Ideally, to avoid the transference of dirt and dander, we prefer to use a vacuum owned by the business owner or homeowner, but if you do not own a vacuum, please let your Account Manager know, and we will make certain that we bring one to your location.

What times are available to schedule my commercial or residential cleaning?

We make every effort to provide flexibility in scheduling to accommodate your specific needs or desires.  Due to external factors, we provide a 2 hour “window” of arrival time, as opposed to a guaranteed start time.  Residential cleaning typically occurs during normal business hours, while most commercial cleaning services are rendered in the evening or on the weekends.  We are happy to accommodate a cleaning schedule outside of the typical times.  Just make your preferred times known to your Fairy Dustmothers Cleaning Company Account Manager at the time of scheduling, and we will do our best to meet that desire.

How do I schedule a change in my cleaning schedule?

We do our best to stay on schedule. However, if a change is necessary we will let you know as soon as possible and would ask that you do the same. Please go through our office/your Account Manager for any scheduling changes. We require 24 hours notice for cancellations.

If you are going out of town, rather than cancel, we recommend scheduling a deep clean for cleaning projects such as scrubbing baseboards, cleaning the oven or refrigerator, organizing the pantry, etc.

There is nothing better than returning home from a long trip to a beautifully cleaned and organized home or business as a result of working with Fairy Dustmothers Cleaning Company.

What if I do not want a specific room cleaned?

Please close the door to any rooms you do not wish to have professionally cleaned and we will focus our energies elsewhere, or just let your cleaning technician or Fairy Dustmothers Cleaning Company Account Executive know prior to your scheduled cleaning.

Do I need to pick-up or de-clutter before the professional cleaner arrives?

The better your house or business is picked up, the better cleaning services we can provide for you. If there are dishes, laundry, projects, papers, etc. – no problem, we will skip these areas until the next visit, unless of course they are a part of your cleaning contract. Often putting clutter in a container before our visit is helpful. Getting things up off the floor by putting them on beds or the couch helps, too. If you just can’t get things organized before we come, no problem, just know we will clean what we can get to to the best of our ability.

How do I pay for my cleaning services?

For residential cleaning services payment by check or cash is due in full on the day of your service and should be left on the kitchen counter. Checks are to be made out to Fairy Dustmothers Cleaning Services. If payment is not received or is not left a $5.00 Billing Service Charge will be added unless prior arrangements have been made. You may also mail or leave a check for the entire month at the time of your first cleaning. A fee of $35.00 will be charged for each NSF check returned by the bank. We also accept credit card payments online via PayPal. There is a 4% credit processing fee incurred for each online PayPal transaction. To pay by credit card, simply give your Account Manager a call and we will generate a PayPal invoice and you can finish the transaction, or we can help process the transaction over the phone with you.

What are your procedures if I have to cancel or change my cleaning time?

We allocate a block of time for the cleaning of your home or business, If you request a schedule change, we require a minimum of 24 hours advanced notice to avoid a cancellation fee. If we do not receive a personal phone call or email outside of 24 hours of your cleaning time, or we are locked out upon arriving to clean your property, you may be charged up to the full amount due for your scheduled cleaning. The best way to assure this does not happen is to have a key kept somewhere discreet near your home or business, or to provide our office with a key to associate with your account. Your time slot is yours, it is reserved for just you, if you cancel at the last minute it cannot be filled by our office. Scheduling arrangements and changes should be made through our office, and not your cleaning technician. Our cleaning technicians do not have the ability to change schedules.

How do you handle our security system?

If your home or business is equipped with a security system, please ensure that it is in the “off” position or call our office with the code and proper directions for use. You can also provide instructions to your Cleaning Technician or Account Manager during your walk-through, if it is for your commercial property.  If the code should change, please let us know so you do not incur a lock-out fee, and we do not have to deal with the repercussions of setting off your alarm.

How do you handle broken items during a cleaning visit?

If you have something that is priceless and/or irreplaceable, please put it away. It is very rare, but occasionally something gets broken. Your house cleaner will let our office know right away, as well as leave you a note alongside the broken/damaged item. If you would like us to replace it, we will do our best, but this is not always possible. Per our replacement policy, we will pay replacement costs of $100 per item/per incident. Please inform us at your initial cleaning of items in your home that we should avoid and/or are in ill-repair, i.e. a picture not professionally hung, loose knobs/handles, delicate/degraded items, etc.  Our professional cleaners are extremely careful and do everything possible to reduce the chance of damaging any of your belongings, but no one or no business is perfect, though we are as close as you will get!

What holidays do you observe/not clean?

We work every day with the exceptions of Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years Day and Easter. Please check your calendar in advance and let us know if we need to reschedule to avoid a Late Cancellation Fee.

What are your policies regarding pets?

We love pets! However due to potential health risks, we do not clean litter boxes, urine, or feces. If you have a pet that is the least bit aggressive, it will need to be absent from the areas we are cleaning. We will never let your pets outdoors, unless instructed to do so by you.

How do we get started with Fairy Dustmothers?

The first thing we will do is visit your home to discuss your individual cleaning needs, and to give you a free estimate.

We will provide you with a comprehensive list of our wide range of services, so that you may choose what you’d like us to do for you.

Together we will create a work order tailored to your specific requests, and you will be provided with a copy. This is not a contract, but merely another way to guarantee you our personalized, consistent and timely service.

How often should I have my home or business cleaned?

Fairy Dustmothers Cleaning Services offers regular housecleaning on a weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis, and office cleaning services as often as every day.

In addition, we are available for special one-time cleans. These include move-in/move-outs, deep cleans, new construction clean up, vacation cleans, and occasional maintenance cleans for customers that just need a little extra help.

Our most popular visit is every two weeks for residential cleaning services, but we will schedule according to your needs.  For office cleaning, weekly service is most common, with daily service a very close second.

If you are unsure, we recommend starting with bi-weekly service for residential cleaning, and shifting up or down after you able to better judge your needs and our services.  For business services, we recommend starting with weekly service, and also judging your needs and our services before making a permanent choice.

Do I have to sign a contract?

For residential services, no, there are no contracts you have to sign. We are happy to earn your business each time we clean.  But for occasional promotions, or to lock-in discounted volume pricing, you would need to sign a contract.

For commercial services, we do work on a contractual basis, but those contracts are for the benefit of both parties, and are severable with notice outlined in the contract.  And to receive any promotional pricing, contracts are necessary.  But rest assured, we want this to be a mutually beneficial relationship, and we will do everything we can to make sure you are more than pleased with our cleaning services and with your relationship with Fairy Dustmothers Commercial Cleaning Services.

Do I need to be present when the cleaner(s) come?

You do not need to be home, although of course, you are welcome to be.

Many of our residential cleaning customers provide us with a key to their home and, when necessary, alarm codes. We keep your keys and access information extremely secure.

Nearly 100% of our commercial clients provide us with a key, key-code, or key-card access, since most of our commercial cleaning occurs when the business is closed during the week or on weekends.

We appreciate the trust afforded to our local commercial cleaning company and our local residential cleaning company, and we would never betray that trust.

Do you offer gift cards for residential cleaning services?

Can I hire a Fairy Dustmothers Cleaning Professional directly?

Our Fairy Dustmothers employees are not available for direct hire. A great deal of time and resources is put into hiring our staff.
